Cats have a unique way of worming their way into our lives, often appearing when we least expect it. Vlad’s story is a perfect example of this. When he stumbled upon a kind-hearted human, he was struggling to survive. However, fate had something else in store for him. The woman who found him knew instantly that he was meant to be part of her family, and she welcomed him into her home. Over time, Vlad thrived under her care, and today he’s a happy and healthy cat with a legion of fans on the internet. I recently had the chance to chat with his owner, who graciously allowed me to feature this lovable feline. So, take a moment to meet Vlad – an adorable cat with a unique personality and an expression that will melt your heart.
What’s the story behind how Vladimir became a part of your life? I used to work at a veterinary clinic when a foundling kitten was brought in by someone who found him on the street. The poor little guy was severely underweight, had an upper respiratory infection, and his eyes were stuck shut with gunk. I remember telling my colleagues that I was going to take him home the same day he arrived. We all worked hard to nurse him back to health, he even underwent dental surgery, and finally, he was ready to come home with me!
How did you choose the charming name for your pet?
I was discussing name options with a colleague when Vlad caught my attention. It resonated with me, and it stuck.
What does your furry friend enjoy doing in their free time?
Vlad finds pleasure in napping, munching on food, and fiddling with hair elastics. Occasionally, he tries to make a run for it and bask in the sun on the deck.
Does he live with any other dogs or cats at home? I have a furry family that includes Vince the cat and Stella the Australian Shephard, but Vlad is the one who calls the shots. Additionally, check out the following related content.
Do you want to know what makes Vlad unique? Well, let me tell you, despite his distinctive appearance and vocalization, he has been thoroughly examined by several vets who confirmed that he is perfectly happy and healthy. We did have to remove a couple of his teeth due to some rubbing, but it turned out that it was just his jaw alignment and not a major concern. In my opinion, he is the most exceptional cat ever!
