When it comes to felines that have previously resided in animal shelters, their fortunes change dramatically when someone decides to adopt them. Cats possess a remarkable and forgiving nature, and often crave nothing more than to feel loved and return that affection. Frankie, a fluffy kitty, had his prayers answered when his now-owner sought companionship during her recovery from surgery. Upon seeing him, she knew she couldn’t leave the shelter without him. Nowadays, Frankie spends his days socializing with people, making them feel cherished and special, receiving all the love he deserves! What was the story behind Frankie becoming a part of your family?
After retiring and recovering from eye surgery, my husband thought that getting a dog would cheer me up as we had no pets. However, we couldn’t find a suitable one at the shelter, but a friendly tabby caught our attention and we learned he was available for adoption. Although the shelter claimed he was 3-years-old, our vet revealed he was just 9 months. As he grew into his fur, he became our beloved cat, Frankie.
How did you come up with Frankie’s name?
Our family is filled with book lovers, and my daughter’s favorite book was Frankenstein. We decided to name our new feline friend after this novel, but as he was too affectionate to be a mad scientist, we simply called him Frankie.
Can you describe Frankie’s personality?
Frankie is a social butterfly who thrives on human affection. He craves cuddles in the morning and at night, and he enjoys staying close to his owner by following them around the house. He enjoys playtime too, but never gets too rough or aggressive. Overall, he has a mild temperament.
Are there other pets living with Frankie at home?
Although we are temporarily housing two stray animals until they find permanent homes, Frankie is our only furry family member.

What does Frankie enjoy doing in his free time?
Frankie finds pleasure in taking long strolls and paying visits to his nearby acquaintances. Whenever he sees me grab his harness, he knows that it’s time to head out! Additionally, he finds joy in solving food puzzles, which he is exceptionally skilled at.
Is there anything unique about Frankie that you would like to share with others?
Frankie exudes an old-fashioned charm and seems to possess a sixth sense when it comes to my emotional needs. Whenever I’m feeling down or anxious, he jumps onto me, wraps his paws around my neck, and nuzzles his face into my shoulder. His calming purrs work wonders. He has an uncanny intuition and provides comfort to other members of the family during times of stress as well.
